between friends
Tobias Rehberger creates sculptures, environments and installations principally revolving around the concept of transformation, mainly working with unique industrial processes and forward-thinking technological innovations. Rehberger transforms ordinary situations and objects with which we are familiar, exploring the boundaries between functionality and the aesthetic. In his new exhibition, he presents a series of shadow sculptures that question the functionality of an art object. While some of the artworks transmit words onto the wall, others blend into the patterns of the paintings in the background, effectively disappearing. Here, a look inside “Sex and Friends” by the internationally acclaimed artist which is taking place at London’s Pilar Corrias Gallery.
