Urban Shed Competition

If you have ever been to or lived in New York City, then it's most likely you have experienced the protective pedestrian scaffolding that covers sidewalks when a building is under construction.  We all know it's an eye sore and semi-scary to walk through at night.  Thankfully New York's Department of Buildings wants to re-think how these structures look and feel and is offering designers an opportunity to do so with its Urban Shed International Design Competition.
