Audi Urban Future Award 2010
The Audi Urban Future Award 2010 is a contest between six international architects curated by Audi and Stylepark.
The Audi Urban Future Awards aims to establish a dialog on the synergy of mobility, architecture and urban development by means of a view into the future. It’s not about science fiction ideas, but about concepts that could become reality to the year 2030.
Alison Brooks Architects, BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, Cloud 9, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Jürgen Mayer H. Architects und Standardarchitecture took part at the contest. Diller Scofidio + Renfro did not join the final presentation, since to much work kept the New York based company from finishing their concept.
The five architects presented their ideas and concepts at August 25th at the really impressive Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice, Italy.
The jury was Saskia Sassen as the chairwoman, Rupert Stadler, Stefan Sielaff, Rahul Mehrotra, Jun Ma, Andreas Lepik, Christian Gärtner, Fernando de Mello Franco and Wolfgang.
Jürgen Mayer H. Architects from Berlin is the winner of the Audi Urban Future Award 2010. The digital mashup of the city, people and the cars convinced the jury the most.
