CaballeroFabriek
A former tobacco company factory, The CaballeroFabriek, comprises both offices and studios for small start-up companies in ICT, Media and Culture. The Municipality of The Hague, responsible for the redevelopment of the factory site, had a clear vision for the building to become an environment where companies could easily meet, interact and inspire each other. This vision has been translated by GROUP A into a spatial concept that stimulates creative and innovative activities and cross-fertilisation between the different companies. As a result the design has introduced meeting areas, wide corridors and common spaces like the common reception and coffee bar. The original factory building from 1953 has been retained, and recent additions were demolished. The newly created wide corridors double as an informal meeting area and have become the spine of the CaballeroFabriek.
