CAMPERDOWN TERRACES

These two townhouses replace a derelict warehouse on a leafy street in Sydney’s inner west. What appears as a modest infill of the terrace typology, proves to be a series of light and airy contemporary living and sleeping spaces planned around a lap pool.
Each home contains three bedrooms with balconies, a roof terrace with additional living space, atrium, deck and landscaped courtyard as well as off street parking.

Miller Residence

This 2200 square foot classic prewar apartment is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The complete renovation of the apartment included combining a separate living and dining room into a loft-like central living space. The kitchen was also enlarged by removing a maid’s bedroom and bath. The design intent was to balance modern and traditional details. The white walls and dark stained floors provides a neutral background for the owner’s collection of modern furniture and art.

Publicis

Publicis, the Paris-based communications company, brought together its New York divisions into a contemporary open workspace designed to spark creative collaboration while offering expansion space. Publicis’ new US headquarters and NY flagship office, one of the largest communications company in the world, are located on the top four floors of an historic 1909 office building in Manhattan’s Herald Square. The design for the 120,000 sf facility developed an extensive branding exercise. To support its dramatic change to a more open corporate culture, Publicis wanted a workspace for its 350-person staff that encouraged synergy.

Barn conversion

Conversion of a barn, formerly used as an artist\\\'s studio, into a living room/screening room for a young couple (both are film directors). The barn is connected to the main house (used as a weekend retreat) through a breezeway.

24 foot doors have been opened on both long side of the barn and the interior walls have been clad with walnut planks finished with linseed oil. The catwalk connecting to the mezzanine and the stair are in natural steel with a wax finish.

The big fireplace is created with slabs of walnut travertine imported from Tuscany and the floor is finished with river pebbles. The furniture is a mix of pieces custom-designed by us and interesting found objects discovered by the clients.

Brooklyn Heights Residence

This 1880’s carriage house is located in the landmarked Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. The program was to convert the building, which was used a parking garage on the ground floor with a rental apartment above into a single family residence with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a single car garage. The street facade was restored, respecting its historic character, while the interiors were opened up to create loft-like spaces with an industrial character. The house features a 2-story skylit stairwell and a new rear courtyard with a small guest house and storage area. The new rear facades incorporate steel and glass window systems set into red brick cladding
