the work of Katrina Schaman
Katrina Schaman is a Canadian painter and illustrator residing in Toronto, Ontario. Born in Kitchener in 1982, Katrina has always felt a great desire to create. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from Queen's University in 2005 and went on to complete a post graduate Web Design program at Sheridan College.
Katrina's unique painting style begins with an intricate, abstract, patterned layer, both rich in line and colour. The artist then looks within these patterns, finding recognizable shapes and forms to create her visually stunning compositions. Katrina uses many complex layers in her search for the perfect balance between abstract and actual shapes.
Katrina hopes you enjoy viewing her work as much as she enjoyed creating it. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email the artist at kschaman@gmail.com
We don't feature a lot of art around BAS but Katrina sent us this info that I think is amazing.
Look at the amount of detail on the paintings... amazing!
