Patricia Urquiola’s installation

The globally known designer immersed herself in the traditions and techniques of glassblowing realizing the collection firsthand on the island of Murano, Venice (IT).

These efforts have resulted in an energetic collection of surprising artwork where the artist’s vision has been perfectly complemented and implemented by the skills of the “maestro”.

To make this occasion even more exclusive, Studio Urquiola realized new pieces in Murano. You are sure to witness a collection that will leave you pleasantly surprised!

new street art

brooklyn based street artist aakash nihalani uses brightly colored tape to create geometric pieces of art.
utilizing fluorescent colors and basic shapes, nihalani only adds, but never changes the space since the nature
of the material causes no damage to the built environment. the playfulness of the concepts allows people to
interact with the graphics as it plays with depth and perspective. some examples suggest what could be there,
temporarily transforming everyday streets into playful possibilities. parts of the city that blend in and typically
go unnoticed become highlighted, reintroducing citizens to their surroundings.

capsule lamp

Named “Capsule” for obvious reasons, this table lamp by designer Miika Mahonen has an unconventional but intuitive method of turning off and on – simply pull up on the “shade” to reveal bright LED light, or push down to create a thin line of light that provides a subtle ambient glow. Cast from aluminum, this design is both functional and recyclable, though, you won’t want to throw it away anytime soon.
