BD Barcelona Design Gallery

BD was created in 1972 by Pep Bonet, Lluís Clotet, Cristian Cirici, Mireia Riera and Oscar Tusquets. These five architects later became progenitors of contemporary Catalan design, but were also responsible for creating one of the first and most successful companies to promote local design both within the region and to the rest of the world.

BD edited and sold furniture and domestic objects signed by Mackintosh, Antoni Gaudí and Salvador Dalí, alongside the best in international contemporary design: Óscar Tusquets, Martí Guixé, Jaime Hayón, Konstantin Grcic or Ross Lovegrove....

Tetra-Shed

Designed by London's David Ajasa-Adekunle of the Innovation Imperative studio, the Tetra-Shed ($TBA) is designed to be the perfect personal workspace for either home or corporate offices looking to spice things up. It looks like a black crystalline box. The Tetra-Shed will be available in early 2012. Via Design Don't Panic.

Zaha Hadid Architects have completed Roca London Gallery, an impressive project with a futuristic appearance located in Chelsea Harbour district near King’s Road. Roca is a strong bathroom products brand which emphasizes on innovative ideas.

The Mishima House

The Mishima House was designed by Keiji Ashizawa Design and is an example of beautiful minimalist Japanese architecture. This abode in Tokyo seems to be the result of its surrounding urban environment.

house in takaya

japanese practice suppose design office has recently completed 'house in takaya', an introverted single family residence 
in hiroshima, japan. an entry yard comprised of a layer of sandy earth directs inhabitants towards the primary portal 
formed with two large sliding glass doors. contained within a discreet rectangular box clad with monochromatic siding, 
visitors discover the textured ground plane continues and transitions to the interior of the home, dissolving the distinction 
between the external and internal environments. found in traditional japanese homes, this contemporary update to the doma 
floor incorporates stepping stones to circulate between and around the spaces, minimizing the movement of the soil particles.

Strelein Warehouse

Australian studio Ian Moore Architects has completed the Strelein Warehouse project in 2010. For a budget of $700,000 Australian dollar, the architects have converted a former grocery warehouse into a two story, one bedroom home.
