plak

recently completed by austrian studio propeller z, 'plak' is a single family residence in the western outskirts of vienna, austria.
the narrow and steep site was conducive to a linear footprint, allowing five levels to be stacked vertically, placing the main
living spaces at a higher elevation. unobstructed views of the encompassing city are offered over the existing neighboring structures
due to the higher vantage point. another advantage to the configuration is the minimal disturbance to the land below maintains
garden spaces.

I usually only post about architecture and home decor but this is a project that I've been working for some time...

The carbo axe, created from direct input from the military EOD community, this lightweight tool is made of a hardened titanium core with a carbide-tungsten edge, sandwiched between two layers of carbon fiber and fastened via titanium hardware. The handle is turned from  a solid bar of carbon fiber. Super light and ultra fast... ready for your next zombie attack.

offers panoramic views of sonoma county's russian river valley. the rural 22 acre site has been minimally disturbed, utilizing prefabricated
and panelized framing system for custom site-built construction. positioned upon a knoll, the home was conceived as a wood slice,
receding into the forest along the west, north and east sides of the structure. a covered patio and lap pool are placed between the living areas
and the scenic valley below. to lay lightly upon the land, the internal program minimizes wasted circulation space, eliminating wasteful rooms

near the ise bay in matsusaka, mie, japan. surrounded with stretches of green rice fields, the aluminum panel exterior of this residence
reflects the changing lighting conditions as the land changes from the water bathed planting season to the golden hues of the
autumnal harvesting season. enclosed with a double skin, the south and west facades contain wide gaps and without window openings,
allowing the summer's radiant heat to rise through the structure and exit near the roof. a fragmented pattern of louvers near the top
of the perimeter wall arranges shorter and longer lengths of panels as determined by the internal room placements, flue window,
ventilation and air conditioning outlets.

Autospace modular garage

With the need for housing and utility space becoming more and more deficient in moist cities , there is a rising need to convert the existing lot into something more resourceful. This gives birth to the concept of installing aesthetically and technologically advanced modular structures within one’s residential compound, which could either double up as a music room, home-based office, or more so, a personal garage for the coveted car.
